STaRS depends on donations, grants and volunteer time. We exist both for the community, and because of the community. Our donors and volunteers are crucial to our success.
Dana Henson
Program Co-ordinator
Dana Henson grew up riding ponies in Southlands and has been part of the Southlands community for over 20 years. Dana has ridden with a number of notable trainers including Tanya Rosen, Lindy Townley, and Channay Lloyd and has competed in hunters, jumpers, and equitation across North America. Dana’s greatest equestrian accomplishment to date has been representing British Columbia at the National CET Medal Finals where she won the Bronze Medal.
Outside of the riding arena, Dana has obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia as well as a Sports Marketing Certification from BCIT. She has worked in leadership roles at New Age Sports, Canadian Sport Institute, Jericho Tennis Club, and Arc’teryx Equipment and is very excited to bring her project management skills and experience to STaRS.
